Our August Member Spotlight featured Alissa Calhoun, founder of A. Calhoun Events, who brings years of experience in event planning, consulting, and tourism to creating intentional and memorable experiences. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, Alissa manages every detail with a focus on connection, culture, and community.
Alissa is also a board member of Young Professionals of Color, an initiative of Crispus Attucks Community Center that is creating a safe and inclusive network for Black and Brown young professionals, where their voices are centered, activated, and honored.
She is the proud co-founder of She Belongs Here, a shared networking experience rooted in connection, community, and culture. The next event, She Belongs Here: The ReMix, will take place on Friday, September 4, at Reology Studio, 315 W. James Street, from 5 to 8 p.m.
